When to fly: the 8–12 week window
If you arrive too early (week 4–5), the lehenga is still in panel-cutting stage and your fitting won't reveal much. Too late (week 16+) and there's no time to re-do hand embroidery if a major change is needed. The 8–12 week window from kickoff is the sweet spot: shape is final, embroidery is in progress, and you can still influence almost any element.
How long to stay in Delhi
Three to five days in Delhi is plenty for the bridal fitting itself. Many brides extend the trip by another 5–7 days for engagement functions, family time, or to visit jewellers and pickup other trousseau elements. We coordinate with our partner jewellers, makeup artists and photographers if you want introductions.
If you can't visit at all
Around 40% of our NRI brides never visit during the build. We replace the in-person fitting with a video-streamed dummy fitting (lehenga on a body-double matched to your measurements) and a hyper-detailed measurement re-verification. Final delivery happens via insured DHL with a remote try-on appointment after arrival, including any required local alterations covered by us.
