Sindoori reds, gota patti, dabka and the second dupatta — the Punjabi bridal vocabulary, drawn and built one thread at a time.
Six elements that make it unmistakably Punjabi
Deep sindoori red, rani pink and oxblood — the colours that anchor every Punjabi bridal trousseau.
Punjab's signature surface ornamentation — gota patti zigzags and dabka motifs across blouse, kalis and dupatta border.
One on the head, one across the shoulder — the unmistakable Punjabi bride silhouette.
Subtle phulkari embroidery in dupatta corners or jacket linings — a quiet nod to Punjab's textile heritage.
Wider sleeve cut and lighter blouse weight to carry traditional kalire comfortably through the long ceremony.
Lehenga hem cut to clear the floor with juttis, with a discreet inner kunda for the chooda.

Le Wraps by Nidhi SachdevA traditional Punjabi bridal lehenga is typically a deep red, maroon or rani pink lehenga with heavy gota patti, dabka and zardozi embroidery. It's worn with a double dupatta drape — one on the head, one across the shoulder — chooda, kalire and gold jhumkas. Le Wraps designs Punjabi bridal lehengas with all these heritage elements built in.
A bespoke Punjabi bridal lehenga at Le Wraps starts at ₹1,75,000 for mid-couture with hand gota patti, ₹3,75,000 for signature couture with full hand zardozi and dabka, and ₹7,00,000+ for heirloom-grade pieces with real zari and museum-level surface work. The price scales with embroidery density, fabric and number of dupattas.
Sindoori red and maroon remain the most traditional Punjabi bridal colours, followed by rani pink and oxblood. Modern Punjabi brides also choose wine, rust and deep magenta. White, ivory and pastels are typically reserved for the engagement, sangeet or reception rather than the wedding ceremony itself.
Allow 90 to 120 days for a fully bespoke Punjabi bridal lehenga at Le Wraps — including consultation, fabric sourcing, sampling, embroidery, three fittings and the second dupatta. Heirloom-tier pieces with full hand zardozi can take up to 180 days.
Yes. We design the wedding-day red lehenga, sangeet outfit, mehendi yellow set, chooda ceremony attire, reception gown or lehenga, and Anand Karaj outfit if needed — all coordinated as one trousseau. Most Punjabi brides commission 5–7 outfits with us.
